"Spiritual ecumenism is born through repentant forgiveness and is nourished by prayer. If the unity of the disciples must be a reflection of the unity between Father and Son, it must above all be a unity of love, because such is the unity that reigns in the Trinity." Fr. Cantalamessa

We believe that a spiritual foundation is necessary for what we are about. Not many, if any, of the core persons will be a success in the eyes of the world. We, like all L’Arche homes, will have prayer as part of our day. We will support each person to follow the religious tradition that he or she feels comfortable with. We suggest that we sing the psalms which are in both the Jewish and Christian tradition. For those who are Catholic we hope to have Mass each day, the sung divine office and perpetual adoration.

We are currently working with individuals from a variety of faith traditions including Protestants, Buddhists & Hasidic Jews. Communio welcomes all people of good will who are committed to the service of those with intellectual disabilities.
